ImagesCompressor information

Accessibility

ImagesCompressor aims for WCAG 2.2 AA where practical and treats the upload and processing workflow as a keyboard, touch, and screen-reader task—not only a visual drag-and-drop interface.

Implemented measures

The current interface includes:

  • Semantic landmarks, headings, lists, buttons, native inputs, and labels
  • A skip-to-content link and visible keyboard focus
  • Keyboard-accessible mode tabs and upload area
  • Accessible progress bars with bounded values
  • Polite live regions for batch status and actionable errors
  • Text labels in addition to color for status and warnings
  • Touch targets sized for practical mobile use
  • Reduced-motion behavior and responsive reflow
  • Escaped metadata values and screen-reader-friendly filenames
  • A mobile menu that closes with Escape and restores focus

Known limits

Browser-generated image previews and third-party codec failures can expose different accessibility behavior across devices. Very large metadata reports use a scrollable region to prevent the page from becoming unstable.

This statement is a product goal, not a certification. Automated checks cannot replace testing with real assistive technology and users.

Report an issue

Send accessibility feedback to contact@imagescompressor.com. Include the page, browser, operating system, assistive technology, steps, expected behavior, and observed behavior when possible. Do not attach a sensitive image unless you deliberately choose to send it outside the local web tool.
