What the service does
The website provides compression, conversion, combined compression and conversion, resizing, target-size search, metadata viewing, and metadata removal. Batch processing and ZIP creation also happen in the browser.
Format support is intentionally described in specific terms. JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, SVG, BMP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, and ICO have different levels of decoding, encoding, metadata, transparency, animation, and multi-frame capability.
Privacy approach
Selecting an image does not upload its bytes to ImagesCompressor, Cloudflare, an advertiser, an analytics provider, or an external conversion API. Normal requests for HTML, JavaScript, styles, fonts, and other website assets still reach the hosting provider and may appear in ordinary access logs.
The application keeps images in memory and object URLs for the current page session. It does not intentionally place image files, filenames, or image metadata into localStorage, IndexedDB, or Cache Storage.
Free access and advertising
The tools are free to use. The site is prepared for a future advertising-supported model, but Google AdSense is disabled and no publisher ID has been configured. Any future activation must be accompanied by updated policies, security settings, consent handling, and privacy testing.
Limitations and feedback
Browser codecs and memory limits vary by device. Animated or multi-page images are not silently flattened, HEIC encoding is not offered, and uncommon proprietary metadata may not be recognized.
Questions and reproducible format issues can be sent to contact@imagescompressor.com. Reports should avoid attaching sensitive original images unless the sender has deliberately chosen to share them by email.
