Privacy and support
Metadata removal itself is local, so the original file and its metadata are not transmitted to ImagesCompressor.

- A browser encoder may add a fresh standard color profile or encoder field.

Frequently asked questions
Does this remove GPS location?
When GPS data is stored in EXIF or another source metadata block, it is not copied into the re-encoded output.
Will the output contain no metadata at all?
Source metadata is not copied. The browser encoder may add a new standard color profile or encoder field to describe the generated file.
Does metadata removal reduce file size?
Sometimes, but pixel data usually dominates the file. The main purpose is a clean copy, not guaranteed compression.
