Convert tool

Convert WebP to JPG

JPEG remains useful in software that does not accept WebP. Because JPEG has no transparency, choose the background color that should replace transparent parts of the source.

Convert this large photograph to PNG?

WebP or AVIF is usually a better choice for reducing photo file size.

Three steps, entirely on your device

  1. 1

    Add WebP images.

  2. 2

Choose JPEG quality, background, and optional dimensions.

  3. 3

Convert and download the JPEG copies.

Privacy and support

The conversion happens inside the browser. Images are not uploaded or retained by ImagesCompressor.

Supported formats

WebP input and JPEG output are supported in modern browsers.

Limitations

  • Transparency is replaced by the selected solid background.
  • Animated WebP becomes a decoded frame.
  • JPEG compression is lossy.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why did the transparent area turn white?

JPEG cannot store transparency. The default replacement is white, and you can choose another background color.

Will animation remain?

No. This launch engine does not preserve animation when converting WebP.

Is JPEG more compatible?

JPEG is accepted by many older apps and workflows, though modern browsers support both formats.
